CELEBRATIONS are blooming in Studley after it triumphed at the Heart of England in Bloom awards.
Not only did it win a gold award in the competition, its third in a row, but it was also voted best in the small town category by the impressed judges.
Spokesman Gillian Liebthal said: “We are all absolutely thrilled that we got gold and were voted best in our category.
“This was such a team effort and we would like to thank all the wonderful people in Studley who gave so generously and helped us triumph.”
And there was also a hat trick in Redditch, after the town scooped its third gold in the competition.
Judges visited in July and looked at the town centre, Forge Mill Museum, Arrow Valley Park, Winyates Green Allotments and Where Next Association.
They also visited the crematorium to see the waste heat project and had lunch with the sponsors and key town representatives at the Palace Theatre.
Head of environmental services, Guy Revans, said: “This is marvellous news as not only have we scooped the gold award – we have scored a hat-trick.
“Like every year, lots of hard work has been put into our entry by the council’s team and I am delighted this has paid off.
“I have to add that the town centre looked particularly brilliant this year and this award is well deserved and reaffirms what a lovely place Redditch is to live, work and visit.”
And there were further celebrations for Studley, as Castle Farm was named the winner of the Heart of England in Bloom Environmental Award.
