A rare musical treat
8:30am Friday 13th September 2013 in News
AN ambitious orchestral concert by Inkberrow Sinfonia is being held in aid of the child victims of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
The annual concert, held at St Peter’s Church and organised by Jenny Powis, has so far raised thousands of pounds for this worthy cause.
It also raises funds for the fabric of the church.
Under the direction of distinguished conductor Richard Laing, the concert features work by Benjamin Britten, Mozart, and Beethoven.
A spokesman for the concert said: “Set in the beautiful surroundings of Inkberrow’s 13th century church, this promises to be a rare musical treat.”
It is on Saturday, September 21 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £10 and are available from Jenny Powis on 01386 792909 or from the Post Office in Inkberrow.
