Scott and Rebecca take on parachute jump for good cause
12:10pm Tuesday 10th September 2013 in News
TWO Redditch residents will be putting their fears aside and taking a leap of faith for a good cause.
Scott Preston and Rebecca Jordan will be doing a sponsored parachute jump on September 25 to raise vital cash for Redditch Heart Safe.
The group, started by Robert and Maggie Underwood who lost their 16-year-old daughter Charlotte to Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) in 2010, campaigns tirelessly for defibrillators to be kept in schools.
The goal is to make sure all schools, and other venues, be equipped with the potentially lifesaving equipment and highlight heart conditions and the risks of sudden death.
Mr Preston said: “We’re looking for individuals and local businesses to sponsor us. Our target is £1,000 - enough to buy one defibrillator and training for a Redditch school.”
