2:40pm Friday 30th August 2013 in News
LOCAL history enthusiasts can really go to town next month, as Forge Mill Needle Museum plays host to Redditch Local History Society’s annual Heritage Open Day.
Visitors will be able to find out more about local history and heritage groups, as well as picking up tips on researching their own family trees with Worcestershire Archaeology Department. and Studley History Society.
Local historians Ann Bradford and Alan Foxall will be on hand with members of the Redditch History Society and Forge Mill Volunteer Group, to fill people in on local history tid bits, while Forge Mill Gallery is taking the opportunity to showcase a unique exhibition of watercolours and drawings by Redditch artist Norman Neason (1915-2010).
There will also be a series of volunteer-led tours of the Forge Mill Needle Museum and Bordesley Abbey site, and full access to the museum and visitor centre.
