A feast of James Bond at FeckenOdeon
4:30pm Wednesday 21st August 2013 in News
FECKENHAM’S community cinema is set to host a festival of James Bond movies.
The FeckenOdeon Cinema, based at Feckenham Village Hall, will hold the festival to celebrate the facility being named as the outstanding arts organisation of 2013 by the borough’s Inspire Awards in April.
The event offers a chance to see the original Mr Bond, Sean Connery, battling it out with the evil Goldfinger and the latest 007, Daniel Craig, dealing with dastardly Raoul Silva in Skyfall.
Both films will be shown using the FeckenOdeon’s state of the art digital equipment. High definition giant screen pictures and digital surround sound will ensure that audiences are shaken and stirred.
The special showings are on Saturday, August 31. Goldfinger starts at 2.30pm and Skyfall hits the screen at 7.30pm. Bond martinis will be served at the cinema bar and Bond themed food will be served between shows at the nearby Rose & Crown.
The cinema’s normal season will begin on September 28 and include Les Misérables, Life of Pi, 12 Angry Men, Quartet, To Catch a Thief and Hitchcock.
Full details of all the films can be found at feckenodeon.co.uk and in leaflets available from The Palace Theatre, Redditch, and in all shops and pubs in Feckenham.
A full season subscription is available offering a substantial discount on the single show ticket price of £5. Tickets can be booked online or by calling 0844 8700 887.
