Shopmobility to hold another book sale in the Kingfisher Centre
1:30pm Sunday 18th August 2013 in News
BARGAIN books will be available at a stall in Redditch’s Kingfisher Centre to raise funds for Shopmobility.
Books kindly donated by members of the public will be available from a stall in the centre’s Worcester Square on Tuesday, August 20 from 9.30am to 2pm.
Redditch Council’s Shopmobility supervisor, Barbara Krasniewicz, said: “Following the success of the last book stall in the Kingfisher Centre, which raised £238.50, the Kingfisher Centre has kindly agreed to let us have another stall on Tuesday.
“We have new and second hand books, books to suit all tastes and hobbies and children’s books too. Please come along and support us, we are looking to buy further equipment to expand on the service.”
Paperbacks on the stall will be priced at 50p each or three for £1, and hardback books at £1 each.
Redditch Shopmobility provides free use of battery powered wheelchairs and scooters, as well as manual wheelchairs and other mobility equipment alongside a range of mobility support. For more information about the service, see www.redditchbc.gov.uk.
