Special community events and services to mark Easter

CHURCHES throughout Worcestershire will be marking Easter with a range of special services, events and activities.

Easter lies at the heart of the Christian Faith churches will be holding services on Good Friday to mark Jesus’ death on the cross and then celebrating Jesus rising from the tomb on Easter Sunday.

Alongside the traditional services, there are a range of community events taking place, including Easter by Candlelight, the journey from Chistmas to the Cross on Palm Sunday, March 24, at St Peter’s Church, Inkberrow from 7.30pm.

Seasonal music will sung by a gathered choir, plus readings and reflections will help particpants rediscover the meaning and purpose of Jesus’ death, and resurrection. The evening will also mark the debut of the “new to the church” restored organ

And on Good Friday, March 29, a Walk of Witness will be taking place in Bromsgrove, leaving the Methodist Centre at 10.15am.
