KINGLSEY College pupils were delighted that their charity efforts on Red Nose Day raised an impressove £1,095.

As well as holding a non-uniform day and selling red noses in school, students and staff came together and raised money through a badminton bonanza, where students played against staff, a lunchtime concert by a school band call Running with Scissors, a cake sale, and a raffle where three lots of 10 free tickets were won for a day of paintballing.

A spokesman said: “Thank you to all those who helped organise events and well done to all our students and staff who were part of this brilliant day.

“We are really proud of our students’ efforts to raise money for those in need both in the UK and internationally.  We will be donating half the money raised to Comic Relief and are proud to announce half will be donated to St Richard's Hospice in Worcester, which provides end of life care and pain management for terminally ill cancer patients.“
