Two arrested after jogger seriously injured by car in Redditch

TWO people have been arrested after a jogger sustained serious leg injuries when he was in collision with a car in Redditch.

It happened in Springvale Road at about 8.15pm on Tuesday, March 12.

The jogger, a 17-year-old youth, was in collision with a silver Renault Clio.

He sustained serious leg injuries including a broken fibia, bruised tibia and dislocated ankle. He remains in the town’s Alexandra Hospital, and may require several operations.

A 17-year-old youth and an 18-year-old man were arrested in the Redditch area in the early hours of Friday, March 15, on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They remain in custody at Redditch police station, assisting with inquiries.
