THE roof was well and truly raised at Redditch’s Palace Theatre recently when a number of school choirs joined forces.

The event, Arrow Vale Pyramid Choir Sings the 70s and 80s, saw pupils from the school perform a heady mix of tunes taken directly from the two great musical decades.

Youngsters from Arrow Vale were joined by fellow pupils from Abbeywood, Matchborough, Moons Moat, and Tenacres first schools, Church Hill Middle and Ipsley CofE RSA Academy.

They performed together in harmony, and as individual schools in two concerts.

A spokesman from the Arrow Vale Pyramid Choir said everyone involved had a great time.

“The concerts gave pupils the opportunity to perform in a theatre and collaborate in a wider school community event.”
