Two arrested in Redditch on cannabis charges

TWO men are due to appear in court charged with drugs offences after police stopped a car in Redditch.

Officers stopped the vehicle in Salters Lane on the morning of March 2 and arrested the driver and two passengers after smelling cannabis in the car and seizing a quantity of the drug.

Two of the men, a 26-year-old and a 35-year-old, who are both from Redditch, were subsequently charged with possession of cannabis and released on police bail to appear at Redditch Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 19.

The other man who was arrested was released without charge.

Are they related to Jacqui Smith, the infamous cannabis user, MP for Redditch and disgraced ex-Home Secretary who confessed that her action in upgrading cannabis to a class B drug was a mistake?

A ridiculous waste of police time and public resources. There is no doubt that cannabis will be legalised in Britain within the next five years so why don't these coppers catch some real criminals?

Cannabis is not dangerous to health, at least much less than alcohol or tobacco. So if alcohol and tobacco are legal, then cannabis should be too.
