Help music site become bigger and better
8:20am Tuesday 12th March 2013 in News
A MUSIC website devoted to helping unsigned bands is looking for donations so it can continue to get bigger and better.
GotSeeN.com, started by Jason Bedington from Church Hill, is dedicated to providing a platform for bands and musicians to showcase their talent.
Where it differs from most is that all of the features are free, ensuring acts receive 100 per cent of any royalties.
It also specialises in live video streaming, providing exposure to a global audience.
Mr Bedington said: “It is basically a shout for support to grow our business so we can do it bigger, better and for more artists.”
In order to grow the business the life-long music fan has signed up with indiegogo.com, a crowd-funding platform for creative projects.
The aim is to raise enough money for more equipment and staff to stream gigs more frequently and in better quality.
Mr Bedington added: “Every single gig we have ever done has been free.
“We do this because we are music lovers and get increasingly annoyed with big corporate music businesses ripping off bands.
“We are dedicated music nuts and desperately want to improve our live streaming methods/equipment so that we can always support unsigned music.”
