KINGSLEY students are through to prestigious national final in the Business, Accounting and Skills Education (BASE) competition

A team of six students has reached the national final in the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Business and Accounting competition.

They won their regional heat in Coventry on February 28.  The Kingsley team, which was competing against more than 250 other schools from across the UK in the ICA Challenge, outperformed schools and colleges from across Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Worcestershire.

The national business competition is a fun, interactive and worthwhile experience run by the ICA and supported by a range of national sponsors and provides teams with the opportunity to work in a team and work through a business case study.

Playing the role of a chartered accountant, students are required to analyse, debate, conclude and present back to a panel of highly regarded judges.

They will now represent their school at the national final, in Birmingham on June 27.

The final will feature the top 26 schools from across the country in another business challenge, followed by a gala dinner with awards and an overnight stay at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole.
