Seventh man charged in connection with prisoner John Anslow's escape

POLICE have today charged a seventh man in connection with the John Anslow prison escort van escape.
The 51-year-old was questioned by officers yesterday and was this morning charged with conspiring to assist with the escape from lawful custody of Anslow in January 2012.
The man is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday, March 11.
Six other men appeared in court last week charged with the same offence in connection with Anslow’s escape, following arrests in Redditch, Dudley and Birmingham. Another man who was also arrested at the time was later released on police bail.
John Anslow escaped from a prison escort van near HMP Hewell, Redditch last year. He remains at large.
