TWO Worcestershire men have admitted fraud after telling a 94-year-old Redditch man he needed repairs done to the roof of his house.
Billy Scarrott, aged 24, and 48-year-old Cornelius Smith, both of the same address in Evesham Road, Cleeve Prior, pleaded guilty to making a false representation for gain on March 29 last year.
They admitted telling Mr James Cundick he needed £950 worth of work to the roof at his home in Hollyberry Close, Redditch.
Scarrott also pleaded guilty to burglary on March 28 last year in Hollyberry Close where he took £200 cash.
Mr Cundick had been due to give evidence to a trial at Worcester Crown Court by videolink but Scarrott and Smith entered guilty pleas before the start.
Pre-sentence reports were ordered and both were granted bail on condition they keep out of the borough of Redditch. They are due back for sentencing in the week of March 25.
