A REDDITCH couple will be participating in a 10 day charity trek in Cambodia from November 15 to raise awareness of multiple sclerosis and funds for the MS Trust.
As part of their fundraising, John and Ruth Lismore are holding an Easter bazaar at the Foxlydiate Arms in Webheath on Sunday, March 10, which is Mothering Sunday.
There will be a promise auction, starting at approximately 4pm, with the main lot being a week’s hire of a three bedroom villa in Cyprus, complete with private pool.
There will also be a spa experience for two, supermarket vouchers, vouchers from The Butcher Boy in Headless Cross, micro-derma-abrasion facial and non invasive lippo treatments to bid on, and much more.
There will also be a raffle with prizes including wine, gym memberships, a three course meal for two, a Lush goody hamper, Harvester voucher, nail appointments, hair appointments and plenty more.
Guests can also enjoy a chocolate tombola, face painting, a homemade cake sale and book stall.
Doors open for the bizarre at 2pm, the raffle will be called at 3pm and the auction commenced after the raffle has finished.
The companies who have confirmed kind donations so far are Tesco, The Butcher Boy, Lush, Thornton’s, Chesgrove Day Spa, Crown & Sandys of Ombersley, The Harvester Redditch and Arrow Hair & Beauty.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition which affects around 100,000 people in the UK. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20-40, but it can affect younger and older people too. Almost twice as many women have MS as men.
