No need for hanging on the telephone with Winyates Health Centre

A SURGERY in Redditch is urging its patients to make use of its automated telephone appointment booking system to help reduce the pressure on phone lines.
The automated system is in use at Winyates Health Centre (www.winyateshc.co.uk) and complements the new online appointment booking system introduced last year.
The telephone system, known as Patient Partner, enables patients to call the practice at any time to book, check or cancel appointments, even when the surgery is closed. This means that patients can avoid calling at traditionally busy times such as early in the morning when they may be held in a queue if the lines are engaged.
The surgery is one of the largest in the area, with over 15,500 patients and the automated system is just one of the initiatives that the practice has introduced over the years to improve communication.
The system uses the surgery’s number 01527 526829 and patients access the system simply by entering their date of birth.
