A PROTEST has been held by angry residents over plans to build 3,400 houses on the Webheath ADR and Foxlydiate areas of Redditch.

The peaceful protest took place last night before a Redditch Council executive committee meeting.

More than 50 people from the Webheath Action Group, led by chairman David Rose, turned up with placards and banners.

During the meeting councillors received two reports to propose a consultation period concerning plans to build 600 homes on Webheath ADR land and 2,800 in Foxlydiate.

A decision was made to send the plans out to consultation.
