REDDITCH Division Rainbows, the youngest members of Girlguiding UK attended a Princess Disco recently to mark the end of their 25th anniversary celebrations.

The girls arrived in their princess dresses and were given a wand and tiara as a souvenir.

During the last year the girls participated in a County Rainbow Rodeo at the Girlguiding campsite in Hanley Swan, Malvern, where they enjoyed taking part in horse racing and archery and had fun on the bouncy slides and going fishing, they even made smores on an open fire, a big favourite with the leaders.

Most units took part in the Rainbow's 25th Birthday Challenge badge - some of the activities competed were using chopsticks to pick up 'Chinese food', sinking paper boats with pennies, making edible jewellery and composing their own book.

A sparkly birthday party was held for the Rainbows in the summer and traditional party games were played, the girls got to blow out the candles and take home their own individual birthday cake.

The leaders and Rainbows are now looking forward to more exciting activities planned for the County’s centenary.
