A REDDITCH school has won a prestigious national parent engagement award - for the second time.

Matchborough First School has worked to develop the different ways parents and carers are involved in the school, such as enhancing parent school communication and having regular open mornings.

Headteacher Jackie Harris said: “The award has enabled us to re-assess our strengths and reflect on how we can further improve processes and procedures.”

Ward councillor Juliet Brunner added: “It comes as no surprise that the school have won this award for the second time.

"Their efforts to engage with parents, carers and the community our outstanding. They certainly deserve this accolade.”
