Waste collection services update

WASTE collection crews will be out as normal today, (January 21), however council staff expect difficulty in accessing some roads after the heavy snow.
Householders are being told if their bin was not collected last week, to put their bin out today in a safe place.
Weather depending, crews are hoping to catch up on the missed collections during the course of this week.
Scheduled collections will continue as normal.
A council spokesman said: “We would like to apologise for the disruption to waste collection services due to the poor weather.
“Refuse vehicles can weigh up to 26 tonnes and are much bigger than most household delivery vehicles, it is essential that we do not drive on roads when drivers make a judgement that it is not safe to do so.”
