Your chance to own a piece of London 2012

SAD that the Olympics and Paralympics are over? Wish you could relive the excitement everyday?

Well this is the chance to own a genuine piece of London 2012 history.

Tiered seating, used across many of the Olympic venues including the iconic basketball arena last summer, is for sale.

It is being organised by GL events Slick Seating, a Redditch firm, which won the contract to supply about 125,000 temporary seats to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The seating structures were only ever rented so Slick Seating, based in Broad Ground Road in Lakeside, is now taking the seating back.

It has finished dismantling everything – apart from the basketball arena, which is currently being removed – and, although it has taken some of the structures into its hire stock (it provides temporary grandstands to sporting events) it is looking to sell the rest off.
