Redditch man charged with attempted robberies and possession of imitation firearm

A REDDITCH man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court on Wednesday, January 16, charged with three attempted robberies and possession of an imitation firearm.
Alex Cole, aged 30, of Salters Lane, was arrested shortly after police went to several addresses in Matchborough on the evening of Monday, January 14, following reports that householders had been threatened by a man demanding car keys. No-one was hurt during the incidents.
Cole was charged and brought before Redditch magistrates charged with possession of an imitation firearm and three counts of attempting to rob someone of a vehicle.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on April 22.
