BRITISH Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for information after a graffiti vandal caused damage to a train during its journey between Birmingham New Street and Selly Oak railway stations.

The incident happened on board the late-running 9.14pm service from Birmingham New Street-Redditch on Thursday, December 27.

Investigating officer, PC Jas Bathal, said: “The inside of the London Midland train was subjected to some extensive graffiti vandalism during the train’s journey, between around 9.25pm and 9.40pm. “The vandal used a black marker pen to cause the damage to furniture on the train.

“I am appealing for anyone who was on board this particular service, who saw any damage being caused, or anyone acting suspiciously, to come forward with the information.”
