First published in News

RESIDENTS are being asked for nominations for any young person whose good work, courage or achievement would otherwise go unrecognised.

Worcestershire Council for Voluntary Youth Services (WCVYS) has launched the eighth annual Tryangle Awards.

The aim of the awards is to highlight unsung heroes and recognise the hard work and value people bring to their communities.

WCVYS manager Phil Street said: “The Tryangle Awards are about recognising and celebrating effort.

“We are not only celebrating the high flyers, but we want to applaud the real triers too.”

The council is making it easy for residents to make their nominations, by inviting them to do it online at

Nominations have to be for young people aged from 11 to 19 and up to 24 for young people with a disability.

Teachers, youth workers, care workers, sports coaches, volunteers, family and friends can all acknowledge the efforts made by young people.

Nominations close February 15.
