Body of missing father-of-one found in Redditch field

A MAN found dead in woodland in Redditch yesterday morning has been identified as the missing 28-year-old Michael Lubak.

The father-of-one was reported missing from the town on November 13 last year after he left his home in High Trees Close in the morning but failed to arrive at work.

Police were contacted at 8.10am on Thursday after his body was found by a couple out walking in woods near Pitcheroak Golf Course, off Plymouth Road. A section of the woods was cordoned off for a time while the body was removed and a forensic examination carried out.

Formal identification was confirmed on Thursday afternoon and Mr Lubak's next of kin have been informed. A post mortem has yet to be arranged.

The death is officially being treated by police as unexplained although there are no suspicious circumstances at this time.

The Worcestershire Coroner, Geraint Williams, has been informed and a report will submitted to him by the police in due course.
