A NEW course hoping to boost the self-esteem and abilities of young people has been set up for the new year.
Designed by the Prince’s Trust, and delivered by Core Children’s Services (CCS), it aims to help youngsters aged 13 to 19 in Redditch not in education, employment or training.
Running at Arrow Vale Academy in Matchborough every Saturday, the course will cover developing confidence and how to improve the chances of staying in school or work.
Vicky Fry, CCS activity group co-ordinator, said the number of young people not in education, employment or training is an on-going concern.
She said: “We are thrilled to be delivering a course that could help young people reach their potential
“Starting in the new year, the course aims to educate and inform teenagers, motivate them to make positive decisions and deal with feelings of stress or peer pressure.”
The course, which is free of charge, starts on January 12 and runs from 10am to 3pm.
