KAREN Lumley MP has attended Trinity High School’s awards evening to congratulate students.

During the evening, students were awarded a number of prizes and trophies for their achievements in all subjects. Several also returned from universities from around the country to receive their awards.

A spokesman said: “2011/12 was yet another fantastic year for the students of Trinity High School. The school achieved the best GCSE results that Redditch has ever seen, with 80 per cent achieving 5 A* - C grades including English and maths. This result put Trinity in the top 6% of all schools nationally and it came second in the county for highest attaining school. 

“It was also the best school in the county for out-achieving its set target, for the third year running. In 2011/12, Trinity’s GCSE results were 25 per cent above agreed targets.”

During the evening Mrs Lumley shared her educational experiences with the students and congratulated them and the school on another fantastic year.
