A STUDLEY women has received an early Christmas present - a £1,000 gift card.

Mary Scally was named as the winner of the Christmas gift card competition at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

Customers were asked to spend more than £50 or more on one or a number of gift cards in one transaction, to be in with a chance of winning.

And if the chance of winning £1,000 wasn’t enough, they were treated to a free box of chocolates.

Mrs Scally and her husband of 53 years plan to divide the money between their four children and five grandchildren, as well as treating themselves.

She said: “I thought it was a joke when I found out I won, my husband didn’t believe me when I told him! It was a brilliant surprise.”
