Man arrested for cultivating cannabis in Mappleborough Green

A MAN was arrested in Mappleborough Green on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis, after 80 cannabis plants were discovered during a search of a property.

The 57-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, December 13 after officers from Warwickshire Police’s Operational Support Unit executed a drugs warrant at an address in Common Lane, Mappleborough Green under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

They discovered 80 cannabis plants and an uninsured vehicle, which was seized by officers.

The man was taken to Leamington police station for questioning, and was bailed pending further enquiries.
