A PARCEL van was stolen from Hollywood, near Redditch.

It happened in Hollywood Lane at around 10am on Wednesday, December 12.

The driver of the white Renault Master van parked outside a house to deliver a parcel. He closed the back door to the van and felt a push to his shoulder which caused him to fall to the floor.

A man he did not know then picked up his keys and drove off in the van, which contained a large number of parcels and the driver's own two mobile phones - a black Apple iPhone worth £500 and a Nokia worth £250 - plus a TomTom sat nav worth £160.

The Renault van left in convoy with another white van. The Renault was found abandoned in Goodrest Lane, Kings Norton, a short time later. The parcels had all been stolen from the van.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw the robbery, saw two white vans travelling in convoy, or saw the Renault being abandoned in Goodrest Lane to contact Detective Constable Matt Archer at West Mercia Police on 0300 333 3000 quoting incident 37-N-121212 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
