BROWNIES, Rainbows and Guides in Studley were celebrating the first Sunday of advent this weekend with a Christingle service.
The service at St Mary’s Church in the village also saw local parish families come together to mark the beginning of the Christmas season.
There will be a Nativity service later on this month for families on Christmas Eve from 6pm, where children are invited to dress as a nativity character of their choice and take part in a massive Nativity tableaux and sing in Christmas together.
The service is very popular in the village so the church is warning people to arrive early to be sure of a seat.
