AN innovative stall run by staff and students from NEW College at the Skills Show in Birmingham’s NEC has been called a huge success.

The college showcased its links with Harley-Davidson as well as nearly £50,000 worth of media equipment to create an interactive green-screen experience.

Visitors to the stall, including Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis, were thrilled to be able to see themselves riding a special-edition Harley-Davidson through the Worcestershire countryside via a plasma screen TV.

NEW College principal John Callaghan said: “The Skills Show has been an exciting and engaging experience for our students, as well as introducing visitors from all over the country to the exciting opportunities NEW College has to offer.

“We are proud to be a part of such a successful event, showcasing the skills of young people and raising some money for charity at the same time.”

The show aims to inspire people with opportunities in further education, skills and apprenticeships.
