A GROUP set up to help abandoned and neglected huskies is meeting at Arrow Valley Park this Sunday, November 25, from 11am.

SHARE Rescue (SIberian Husky Aid, Rescue & Education) was set up because of the increasing numbers of huskies which are being abandoned or poorly cared for as they get older.

A spokesman from the group said that many people buy huskies as puppies but then abandon them when they get older and they realise they have very different, advanced care needs to other dogs.

Some are simply dumped by their owners, while others end up ill as their owners simply don’t know how to look after them properly.
