CHILDREN from Bright Kids nursery in Crabbs Cross recently met local tree surgeons to build a new partnership with Redditch Council and develop their Forest School area.

Andy Walker, part of the council’s tree team, kindly agreed to donate various materials such as logs and chippings.

Mick Bristow, a tree surgeon for the council, said: “It’s nice to see children taking an interest in the Forest School area."

Tina Davis, the nusery’s Forest School practioner, added: “It’s lovely to see the children developing their understanding of the world around them.

“We are looking forward to our next visit where the children will be observing woodland management.
