Man in his 60s attacked in Redditch

A MAN in his 60s has been attacked by two men.

It happened near Lodge Pool, Lodge Pool Drive, at about 7.15am on Friday, November 9.

The victim was walking along a dirt track in a wooded area when two offenders aggressively demanded his wallet.

The victim started to run away but slipped and fell on to his hands and knees.

He was then kicked before a passerby chased the offenders off. Nothing was stolen.

A man and a youth have been arrested on suspicion of robbery, and are currently in police custody, assisting with inquiries.

West Mercia Police are appealing for any witnesses, including the member of the public who intervened, to call 101 quoting incident 12-N-091112 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
