Dog walker attacked in Redditch

WITNESSES and information are being sought after a woman was attacked while walking her dog in Redditch.

It happened at 2.30pm on Wednesday, October 10, along Wild Goose Lane near the Arrow Valley Country Park.

The woman, in her 40s, was walking along the lane with her dog off the lead when a man lunged at her from the undergrowth and grabbed her arm.

Seeing its owner in trouble her dog bit the man on his left forearm.

The victim threatened to set her dog on him and he ran off down the path.

The man is white, aged between 25 and 30, medium build, very short dark hair and was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and trainers.

Investigating officer PC Stephen Allen said: "Thankfully the woman and her dog were not hurt and were able to scare the offender off.

"It is important we trace this man so if you have any idea who he is or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area during the day then please let us know.

"If anyone is aware of a man matching this description who has recently injured his arm we would urge them to call us as it is possible this could be the man we are looking for."

Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident reference 222-N-171012, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The number of Perverts in the bushes down the lake is quite astonishing. Have a wander down there most lunchtimes, men in suits emerge with grass stained knees..We should employ wardens with a shoot to kill policy
