Exciting new plans for restaurant quarter in Redditch's Kingfisher Centre

DINING out looks set to get even better at Redditch’s Kingfisher Centre thanks to an exciting new plan.

On behalf of Capital & Regional, Davis Coffer Lyons has been instructed to help create a new restaurant quarter for the 1 million sq ft centre.

Davis Coffer Lyons is seeking operators for four new restaurant units from 3,200 to 7,500 sq ft, available to let from 2013, located at main mall level below the seven-screen Apollo cinema.

The Kingfisher Centre is currently undergoing plans for an exclusive refurbishment of its prime fashion mall and the introduction of a family dining area, following Capital & Regional’s acquisition of the centre in May 2012.

The retail and leisure investment company, with its partner, Oaktree Capital Management, bought the mall from clients of Scottish Widow Investment Partnership.

Anchor retailers include Debenhams, M&S, Primark, BHS, Next, Arcadia and TK Maxx, and produces net rental income of £11 million. It has a weekly footfall of approximately 185,000 and £532 million available spend in the core catchment.

Existing restaurant and cafe tenants include Caffe Nero, Costa, Cornish Connection, Delight Coffee House, Greggs, Jessica’s Sweets, McDonalds, Napoleon Cafe, Muffin Break, Druckers Vienna Patisserie, Three Cooks, Subway, Nesta Coffee Shop, and Esquires Coffee House.
