REDDITCH YMCA, and the town’s Walkwood Middle School, are the latest in a long line of organisations in Redditch to receive a life-saving defibrillator.

Both have received the equipment and training has been given, in case of someone suffering cardia arrest in the vicinity.

Money has been raised through Robert and Maggie Underwood who lost their 16-year-old daughter Charlotte to Sudden Arhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) in 2010 and have been dedicated campaigners for SADS UK, the cardiac charity, ever since.

Mr Underwood said: “Thanks to all the staff at Eze Fitness and its clients for all there kind help and donations in the 2012 Challenge to make these difibrillator donations possible through SADS UK and Redditch Heartsafe.

“This equipment will help safeguard many lives.”
