THE Redditch Arrows American Football team go into Sunday's game against the Yorkshire Rams knowing that nothing but a win will suffice if they are to maintain their hopes of Play Off football.
The BAFL Divison 1 Northern conference is one of the most open and competitive in recent seasons with four teams, the Arrows, Yorkshire Rams, Dundee Hurricanes and West Coast Trojans all still in the hunt.
At the moment Dundee and Yorkshire occupy the play off positions but an Arrows win on Sunday will put them back into serious contention and if anything give the edge going into the last three games.
The Arrows have already played Yorkshire once this season when in the season opener they fell 13-7 to the Rams. Despite the result the Arrows controlled the game for large periods.
Arrows Head Coach Ian Hill is looking forward to the matchup and said: "We know this is a must win game for both teams. Yorkshire will bring everything they have got to the game and we have to do the same.
"If we show the same spirit and determination that we did against Dundee then we are confident that we can come out on top.
"We told the team two games ago that all the remaining games this year had to be looked on as play off games if we wanted to make the post season. Since then they have risen to the challenge win a 60-0 win over Staffs and the win in Dundee.
"We cannot ask for any more than they have given. There is no a real belief in the camp - Sunday should be a great game."
The game on Sunday is at Arrows home venue of Kings Norton Rugby Club, Ash Lane, Hopwood with a 2.30 kick off. Admission to the game is £3 for adults with accompanied children free of charge. available.
