Arrested over chainsaw threat

A MAN was arrested at a Redditch car boot sale after threatening another man with a chainsaw.

It happened at the Arrow Auctions site on Sunday, May 11 between 8.30-9am as two men argued at a CD stall, and as a result of which, one of them was pushed to the floor.

The man who was pushed then went to a car and took out a chainsaw, with which he threatened the other man.

Pc Pete Lowe of Redditch police said the incident had been reported by witnesses and police were keen to trace the victim, who had not come forward. A man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and released on police bail pending further inquiries. Anyone with information can call Pc Lowe on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
