FOLLOWING months of down time writing new material, local band The Irony will play tomorrow night.

The rock quartet will perform at the Amber Café in Evesham from 8.30pm on Friday, October 22.

After the success of their debut album, Ten Stories High, the band has been busy penning material for a second studio album which they hope to complete this year. Support will come from I AM Ryan and entry is free.

David Hughes, frontman of the Irony, said: ”2010 has been a great year for us. There has been a lot going on behind the scene’s and we are laying the foundations for something very big. Our new material has got everyone buzzing and we can’t wait to start playing live again.

“Next year could be when it all takes off for us”
