FREE drama workshops are being held across Herefordshire.

Part of Hereford Cathedral’s Heritage Lottery supported development project, the OneDayToDoIt project is a series of one-day drama workshops led by professionals.

“The workshops are great one-day activity for families, friends, community groups and history- or drama- enthusiasts,” said Jo Henshaw, learning plan manager.

“No experience of history or drama is required, and if you don’t want to perform, you can be part of the film crew or backstage team - there are plenty of opportunities for everyone.”

The workshops are run by experienced drama and video artists and participants will use stories from historical periods that affected Hereford, from pilgrims and plagues to earthquakes, world wars and women’s lib.

The workshops will take place at -

  • Leominster Priory on Friday 29 October.
  • Ledbury Community Hall on Saturday, November 13.
  • Bromyard’s Queen Elizabeth Humanities College on Saturday, November 27.
  • St Mary’s Church in Ross-on-Wye on Saturday, February 26.
  • St Laurence Church in Ludlow on Saturday, March 26.
