AMERICAN punk rockers At The Drive In will be coming to Birmingham in support of the band's first album in 17 years - in•ter a•li•a.

The new album picks up where At the Drive In paused after the 2000 album, Relationship of Command, and is the fourth studio album by the El Paso band.

Fans of the group will no doubt enjoy it as it sounds exactly like you would expect it to - explosive, complicated, raw, and full of jagged riffs encircling singer Cedric Bixler's signature political rhythmic shouts.

Its 11 tracks sounds very unlike anything else out there at the moment.

The band currently consists of Cedric Bixler (vocals), Omar Rodríguez (guitar, vocals), Paul Hinojos (bass), Tony Hajjar (drums) and Keeley Davis (guitar, vocals).

After several early line-up changes, the band solidified into a five-piece, consisting of Bixler, Rodríguez, Jim Ward, Hinojos and Hajjar.

At the Drive-In released three studio albums and five EPs before breaking up in 2001.

Their third and final album before their split, 2000's Relationship of Command, received a number of accolades and is cited as a landmark of the post-hardcore genre.

Always something special to witness live the band will be at Arena Birmingham on November 18.
