GENEROUS Alcester residents are being urged to dig deep for this year's Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
An official launch will be held outside Alcester Methodist Church at 11am until 1pm this Saturday, October 28.
There will be a singer from 11am until 11.30am performing songs from the 1940s and several military vehicles will be driving around the town.
There will also be refreshments, cakes and a raffle along with a selection of Poppy Appeal goodies.
Entrance is £1 and includes refreshments.
All profits go to the Poppy Appeal fund.
Secretary David Malin said: "We raised £13,000 during the 2016/2017 appeal and hope to beat this in the coming year."
