RESIDENTS are being invited to night of classical music at St Peter’s Church in Inkberrow.
The orchestral concert, by the Inkberrow Sinfonia, will be in aid of several worthy causes including the fabric fund of Inkberrow Church.
The concert opens with Rossini’s rousing overture Tancredi, followed by Fauré’s beautiful Pavane.
Then the orchestra will be joined by Rebecca Eldridge for Weber’s Bassoon Concerto.
After the interval the popular soprano Katie Leaver joins the orchestra for one of Mozart’s concert arias – the only one featuring a piano obbligato, this part being performed by Alastair Moseley.
The concert concludes with Haydn’s “drumroll” symphony.
The concert is on Saturday, September 16 at 7.30 pm.
Tickets cost £10 from 01386 792909, the Forge Shop in Inkberrow High Street, or from the village Post Office in Pepper Street.
