FAMILIES looking for a blooming great time are in luck as children’s TV favourite Mr Bloom will be performing at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

As part of the centre’s jam-packed summer schedule Mr Bloom will perform two 30 minute shows on Thursday, August 18.

A group of lucky shoppers will also get the chance to meet the star of the show and take photos on the day.

Mr Bloom has been a huge hit with youngsters since bursting onto TV screens in March 2011.

Mr Bloom’s nursery is designed to help children to get inspired and involved with nature.

Speaking exclusively to the Advertiser he said: "I'm really looking forward to coming to Redditch. I've never been before and I’m keen to see the sights.

"People can expect to see songs from the show, games and stories with plenty of audience interaction.

"Unfortunately the veggies wont be with me as they’re on holiday with Granny Bloom but I’ll see if I can bring some other folks from the nursery. There’s only so many seats in the Compo Car though."

Katie Broome, from the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: “We can’t wait to welcome Mr Bloom to the centre for two high energy in-centre shows.

She added that anyone who missed out on getting tickets to meet the man himself (people had to apply beforehand) there will be two chances to see him perform and there will be signed goodies to giveaway.

Mr Bloom’s performances will take place in Milward Square, near M&S, at 11am and 2.30pm.
