THREE times nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and double winners of Spiral Earth, Megson have drawn on their heritage to create a truly unique brand of folk music.

The husband and wife duo are renowned for their wonderful mix of heavenly vocals, lush harmonies and driving rhythmic guitars.

Comprising Debs Hanna (vocals, whistle, piano accordion) and Stu Hanna (guitar, mandola, banjo) Megson have gained fame on the British folk scene, not only for their arresting and intelligent songwriting, but for their exquisite musicianship and northern banter.

This summer will prove to be an exciting one for the band as they are releasing a much anticipated brand new studio album and are embarking on their first ever Megson band tour with leading folk musicians John Parker (Nizlopi) and Cliff Ward (The Willows).

Megson are performing at Bromsgrove's Artrix on Saturday, June 4 at 7.30pm.

The ticket price of £20 includes a fish and chip supper (call Paul Edwards on 0121 4452342 for vegetarian option).

Tickets can be bought online at artrix.co.uk or from 01527 577330.
