AFTER taking 2015’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival by storm, Gyles Brandreth is setting out on a UK tour of his brand new show Word Power! and will be stopping off in Redditch.
Brandreth’s previous two shows were both five star sell-outs and Word Power! proved to be just as engaging and boisterous as its predecessors.
In addition, Gyles’s brand new book Word Play was released in August 2015 to coincide with the show.
Gyles is a word fanatic.
Founder of the National Scrabble Championships and president of the Association of British Scrabble Players, Gyles has appeared on every word-based radio and TV game show and is a regular visitor to Countdown’s 'Dictionary Corner'.
He is one of Britain’s busiest after-dinner speakers and award ceremony hosts and has won and been nominated for awards, as a public speaker, novelist, children’s writer, broadcaster, journalist and businessman.
He has even featured on This Is Your Life and Desert Island Discs.
As part of the tour he will be at Redditch's Palace Theatre on June 13.
