REDDITCH Round Table has announced the dates for this year's Christmas visit to Redditch.

Santa, along with his snowmen, will be visiting neighbourhoods in the town until Sunday, December 20.

Residents will get a chance to see Santa and his sleigh from 5.30pm on week days and on 4.30pm on Saturday and Sundays.

The sleigh will be out until 8.30pm each evening.

Maps showing the routes and roads being visited can be found on facebook.com/redditchroundtable and facebook.com/redditchladiescircle.

The Christmas sleigh visit dates and areas are below:

  • Thursday, December 10 - Churchill North

  • Friday, December 11 - Hunt End and Walkwood

  • Saturday, December 12 - Webheath & Headless Cross

  • Sunday, December 13 - Headless Cross

  • Monday, December 14 - Brockhill

  • Tuesday, December 15 - Brockhill

  • Wednesday, December 16 - Greenlands and Lodge Park

  • Thursday, December 17 - Oakenshaw South

  • Friday, December 18 - Astwood Bank

  • Saturday, December 19 - Crabbs Cross

  • Sunday, December 20 - Webheath

Paul Rhodes, chairman of Redditch Round Table, explained how and why the group selected the areas.

"It is difficult to cover every area of Redditch as we only have 11 days to collect," he said.

"We are also restricted in some areas due to traffic conditions, accessibility and the logistics of planning a sensible walking route for our volunteers. We are always happy to stop for people who come out to meet us, so come along and find us in an area near to you and we'll make sure that Santa sees you."

The money raised during the Christmas collection is redistributed to local good causes in Redditch.
